My personal experience with my hair over the years was the catalyst for me to create my own unique hair oil. Trying several branded oils, always resulted in an eczema flare up head to toe. It came to a point where no hair oil on the market was suitable for my skin. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and carried out extensive research which led to me creating the perfect oil in July 2019.

 

How did I know it was the perfect oil? It caused no flare ups or irritation and restored health back into my hair. I decided to regularly update my grandmother (Nani) as she saw my journey with eczema since I was a child and how both my condition and dying my hair caused my hair to become thinner and weaker over the years resulting in overall hair loss. I could tell by her initial reaction; she was absolutely thrilled with my creation….

 

My Nani was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 despite beating it in 2019. Her hair loss was the result from chemotherapy, which I saw had a detrimental effect on her confidence, mood and quality of life.  Her long, black hair meant everything and more to her. In my eyes, she was the perfect individual to use my oil to see if it would help. Stubborn as she was, she insisted on using the oil once she was cancer free. Sadly, Nani lost her battle with cancer in 2021 and never got the opportunity to use the oil. 

 

From then onwards I - Amrita Kaur - created AKM Hair and Beauty in her legacy. With AKM Luxury Unisex Hair and Beard Oil being the first product to launch. All other hair and beauty products will be natural, vegan, organic, cruelty free and suitable for all ages, skin and hair types.
