Sale prices will be indicated on each product online and in the shopping cart when applicable. Discount codes are not available to use during sale periods. If you're applying a discount code, please enter this in the appropriate section during checkout. Discounted prices will be available for the specific time displayed online. Only one discount code can be used at a time/purchase.

SHIPPING POLICY

AKM Hair and Beauty Ltd ("we" and "us") is the operator of (https://www.akmhairandbeauty.co.uk) ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website, you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

1. General

Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the backordered item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.

 

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.

This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer.

 

3. Returns

Please visit our returns policy.

 

4. Delivery Terms

We ship within the UK and to Europe. It is your responsibility to ensure you provide the correct delivery address. Unfortunately, we cannot be liable for incorrect details (you are able to contact us immediately to change the delivery address, this only applies if the product has been dispatched) nor will we be able to refund order or send a new one out unless purchased again. Shipping rates are fixed and added to your cart during the checkout process. We offer both 1st Class, and 2nd class signed for within the UK. 1st Class usually takes 1-2 business days and costs £5.05 and 2nd class takes 3-5 working days and costs £3.95. However, due to COVID-19 Royal Mail is still operating with some delays. Royal Mail are currently only carrying out contactless deliveries. If you have not received your order within 10 days, please contact us via email (akmhairandbeauty@gmail.com) and we will investigate this for you. If Royal Mail has accepted losing/damaging your order, we will offer a refund or replacement after this has been confirmed.

All orders are sent via Royal Mail within the UK and EU. If they are unable to deliver, they will leave a red card for you to collect the package from your local post office. For EU orders we use a tracked and signed for service. If you miss the delivery and the package is not collected from the local post office in the allocated time, the postal service will return it back to us in the UK.  Once we have received this, we can either offer a refund or post another item out for you. 

Due to BREXIT all EU orders are subject to custom charges. Once customs contacts you for payment then only they can release your package. It is the customer's responsibility to pay all taxes, AKM Hair and Beauty does not include these taxes in the total cost of the order. Should you decide not to pay the taxes, the package is usually sent back and upon receipt a refund will be processed. We cannot offer a refund until we have received the item back.

All orders should be checked upon invoice and any problems should be reported via email within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. We do require evidence of any issues such as damage to outer packaging or with products (cracks, spillage etc) without this we cannot make a claim through Royal Mail, and you may be refused a replacement or refund if you are not able to provide photographic evidence when requested.

 

4.2 Transit time Internationally

Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 4 - 22 days. 

 

4.3 Dispatch Time

Orders are usually dispatched within 2 business days of payment of order.

Our warehouse operates on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.

4.4 Change of Delivery Address

For change of delivery address requests, please contact akmhairandbeauty@gmail.com as soon as possible and we can change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.

 

4.5 P.O. Box Shipping

AKM Hair and Beauty Ltd will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations.

 

4.7 Items Out Of Stock

If an item is out of stock, we will wait for the item to be available before dispatching your order. Existing items in the order will be reserved while we await this item.

 

4.8 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can investigate.

 

5. Tracking Notifications

Upon dispatch, customers will receive their tracking receipt via email. 

 

6. Parcels Damaged in Transit

If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please reject the parcel from the courier and get in touch with our customer service. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact customer service with next steps.

 

7. Duties & Taxes

7.1 Sales Tax

Sales tax has already been applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website

7.2 Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and AKM Hair and Beauty Ltd encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

 

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to AKM Hair and Beauty Ltd at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.

8. Cancellations

If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept cancellations at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, please refer to our refund policy.

 

9. Insurance

Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.

We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has completed their investigation into the claim.

RETURN POLICY

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase has been delivered, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

* Downloadable software products

* Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

 

Refunds (If applicable)  

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

 

Late or missing refunds (If applicable)  

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Damages/Exchanges (If applicable) 

Once delivered you will have 24 hours to notify us if there are any problems with the product. If you notify us after this period, then we cannot help. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged after 24 hours of being delivered.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at akmhairandbeauty@gmail.com.

 

Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 19 Green Lane, Ilford, ENG, IG1 1XG, United Kingdom.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. We advise using a trackable shipping service and the receipt send to us as proof. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item so this will help us monitor your return. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Everyone’s hair journey is unique to that individual therefore results will vary for each person. An in depth how to use card is provided with each purchase explains the variety of ways our hair oil can be used for different hair types. Please take into consideration the length, thickness and use of oil will affect how long the 50ml bottle lasts.

 

How we operate as a business

 

Once the product has been delivered, we check in after a week. This is to ensure there are no problems with you using our product and answer any questions you may have.

 

After this initial check in, we then check in once a month over a 3-month period and ask for a review and picture so we can create your personal transformation portfolio.The reason we do 3 months is because during this period you will be able to notice the improvements in your hairs health and the transformation pictures help you visually see your journey. When this 3-month period ends, it will be your choice when you would like to contact us and share your transformations/reviews.

 

However, if you would like to opt out of this, please state so at the beginning so we know not to contact you. This can be done by email or through our Instagram. This must be done directly by the customer and not through mutual connections.

At the end of this 3-month period we shall contact you and ask for both a visual update of before you started your journey with us and now (after 3 months) as well as a written review on out Trustpilot.

Receiving regular feedback helps us evolve as a business and ensures that we provide excellent customer service not just a great product. This is how we have operated since the beginning and this method has produced both amazing results and customer/client relationships. If you haven’t expressed at the beginning that you would not like to take part in the monthly updated we will assume you are happy to do so and continue business as usual.
